NJS WATERFORD 1100 RELAY MARATHON
What a day!
Today was a huge success for all our NJS children each of whom contributed at their own level and at their own pace to cover the amazing distance of 42.195 Km in 4.5 hours. We started at 9.14 a.m. in keeping with the history of our city - Waterford being the most historic and oldest city in the country.
Sixth class led us off in our efforts and from there in all classes including participated until the full distance was covered at 13.44 p. m.
A HUGE  "Thank You " to the parents who came along to either cheer us on, run, supervise or man water stations, to the Lynch family who sponsored the water, to Clare O'Callaghan who coordinated the numbers and to Craig Johnson who captured the event in pictures. Both Clare and Craig are the Parent members on the Active Schools Committee.
Pictures of the event will follow as soon as they come to the office!
"NJS- Small enough to care, big enough to shine."
